Alex Schools received a massive boost via the Foundation of African Business & Consumer Services sponsorship of an Alex high schools knock out tournament. The winner of this tournament will represent Alex in the Kay Motsepe Cup.
The tournament culminated in a one day festival held at
the Three Square grounds on Saturday 6 August 2005.The tournament draw was
held at the FABCOS offices in Alex earlier on Monday. FABCOS, a black empowerment
enterprise own 100% of Premier Foods and aims to assist the youth of Alex
and have invested R180 000 in the tournament.

The Iwisa music truck entertained the crowds with both a DJ and live music
acts. Food Stalls were erected and about 500 VIP's including players, teachers
and local councilors were catered for.
Prizes included free kit courtesy of Diadora, trophies, medals and Premier
Food Hampers.
The event was held in conjunction with the Alex Schools Sport Association
and Papadi Marketing.
