The coaching clinics are an extension of TOTALs 7-year sponsorship of dealer community football tournaments.
The soccer coaching clinics aims to:
Equip kids with basic soccer skills;
Introduction of nutritional importance;
Encourage kids to be good citizens;
Knowledge in building character;
The course content was thoroughly researched by Papadi and Zeca Marques, who is the Moroka Swallows head coach. Primarily aimed at:
Introducing a variety of motor skill activities that will help kids experience physiological and psychological maturation.
Objective is to leave a long term imprint, enabling a better society and creating young role models going forward.
The programme will consist of coaching fundamentals and basics of soccer skills, talks on nutrition and building character.
Zeca Marques holds an UEFA A Coaching Licence, a KNVB International coaching badge, SAO PAULO International coaching course (Brazil).
He also holds a fitness & nutrition diploma, a sports psychology certificate, a NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming ) course and is also a fully qualified LIFE coach .
80 kids between the ages of 10 to 16 will be divided into 2 groups of 40
Group A: Ages 10 - 13
Group B: Ages 14 - 16
Practical and theorectical sessions are to be held by both qualified youth coaches and ex Bafana legends.
The 3.5 hours clinics will be ended with a "Award and Recognition" session including;
Each kid receiving a personalised "Certificate of Participation" signed by
"Celeb" & TOTAL rep
