Papadi were in initially approached to recommend and implement a football strategy for Africa’s largest Financial Services company.
Old Mutual’s initial football strategy included the "Financial Services" sponsorships with four PSL teams and included an off-season tournament for all.
Currently Old Mutual sponsors three PSL clubs in Bloemfontein Celtic, Ajax Cape Town and Moroka Swallows. These "supplier" partnerships are now into their 4th year and the off-season tournament has grown into one of the prestigious events on the soccer calendar.
The Old Mutual Mangaung Tournament is now an established event and is intended to provide the Old Mutual sponsored teams with an ideal pre-season tournament.
Papadi has worked closely with the strategic partners in Old Mutual, Bloemfontein Celtic and the Mangaung Municipality, to build the event into a sustainable venture.
Old Mutual has retained Papadi to provide strategic assistance, activation activity, PR and web content.
